My specialty is Sports Massage and manual therapy, which are active therapeutic massage techniques for injured clients. We also practice Accupressure, Reflexology, and Reiki. If you need more scheduling options, please view our second location business listing: Stefanie Brown LMT at Staszak Physical Therapy that is online at PocketSuite.
If you are looking for a passive American style deep tissue massage, trigger point, or relaxation spa massage- Stefanie does not practice those techniques. Please review our referral list on our website showcasing our favorite recommended LMT's who do specialize in those modalities.
NEWS:
We are bringing back our mobile massage option for current clients and can setup in the comfort of your own home!
Aponia & Ataraxia means relief from pain and suffering in both mind and body. My company was named by my clients because they could not find the correct words in English to describe how they felt after therapeutic massage sessions. I specialize in gentle manual massage therapy that is light to medium pressure and applied surface to deep tissue, for clients who are injured or in acute pain. The method I use is also gentle enough for work on children, elderly or any other groups that are physically, mentally, or emotionally sensitive to touch and bodywork.
Other techniques I have studied are Hawaiian Temple Lomi Lomi, Sports Massage, Fire Cupping, Acupressure, Swedish and Reiki. Many of these modalities can be adapted for use on clients who are conservative and prefer to be fully clothed or who prefer bodywork be applied over blankets. I will forever be a humble student of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Myoskeletal therapy, Neuromuscular therapy, Aromatherapy and Reiki and am willing to work with and learn from my clients.
My practice philosophy is that Massage Therapy can be done in a way that is gentle, highly effective yet producing as little discomfort and pain possible. This promotes quicker healing and lasting balance in the body that can be built upon with each visit. The human body can heal itself the same way as it also finds a way to cope and survive with pain. Pain is not a bad thing and is a helpful warning to stop and make changes, while the body having a physical problem is not a fault. The best approach is to not suffer needlessly, and to get help at the onset of pain to see what can be relieved or physically restored.
