Welcome to Hannah Lorenzen Sport Massage!
My name is Hannah Lorenzen and I am a dual-licensed practitioner as a Massage Therapist and Athletic Trainer. I love working with clients with all sorts of backgrounds, lifestyles and occupations and helping them problem-solve their issues through massage. Everyone experiences physical and mental stress that manifests in the body causing pain, restrictions, and altered body mechanics. I am a firm believer that every individual can benefit from massage therapy.
Through my education journey, I’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, a subsequent Master’s Degree in Athletic Training, and finally my certification as a Massage Therapist. My work experience as an athletic trainer has greatly influenced my style and approach as a massage therapist practitioner. I use a blend of techniques from both skillsets in sessions creating a unique and personalized experience for everyone that walks in. I love giving my clients stretches and exercises todo outside of our time together to further address any underlying sources of discomfort.
In my practice, I specialize in sport injury (acute and chronic) and sport-performance massage but am very happy to work with everyone. Here are the primary massage therapy techniques I provide:
· Deep Tissue
· Swedish
· Myofascial Release
· Active Release
· Cupping
· Gua Sha (IASTM)
For the sake of simplicity, I offer two options on my booking page which are described below. It is important prior to our first session that we discuss what your goals and expectations are and creating a plan from there.
· Orthopedic massage refers to using manual therapy techniques to address any physical issue or injury. It is a collaborative effort between client and therapist to discuss, evaluate, and create a specialized treatment plan that best addresses the client’s concerns or goals. It can include a variety of techniques and tools that are deemed to be most appropriate depending on the client and client goals.
· Sport massage uses massage techniques designed to either prepare the body for an athletic event or competition or enhance with recovery following an event.
If you are unable to find a time to schedule an appointment with the given availability, feel free to reach out and I will try to be as accommodating as I can be.
I look forward to meeting all new clients and being a part of your wellness journey!
