Her call to bodywork began with a curiosity for the human form while working toward a nursing degree and spending time volunteering with cancer patients. During this time she became drawn to health practices from around the world, noticing the value of treating health from a wider perspective. Keeping one foot grounded in scientific understanding and the other planted in intuition she is drawn to integrate the views of eastern and western medicine. Lacie studied massage therapy at Central Oregon Community College where she received an associates degree in the practice of bodywork and began her practice of serving others in 2018.
Lacie specializes in therapeutic applications to help those experiencing chronic pain or injury, or to meet the needs of those looking to improve performance in movement, suport circulation and encourage fluidity to tissue and joints. Bodywork is manual manipulation of muscular, fascial and connective tissue to alleviate pain and restore function. Through calming or stimulation of the nervous system, supporting lymph and circulatory movement while holding a parasympathetic state, the body can find its optimal state of ease. You may be asked to produce movement, describe sensation or bring awareness or berath to an area. The use of cupping, gua sha, heat and oils is complementary to each treatment and discussed with each session.
