Shannon, who is both your massage therapist and an osteopathic physician, observed many colleagues and friends in medicine facing burnout, anxiety, depression, poor sleep, relationship challenges, and overwhelming schedules. She personally experienced several of these issues as well. Physicians, especially mothers, often feel pressured to prioritize others' needs above their own. VERDANT was founded with the mission to encourage professionals to prioritize and normalize self-care, and to model this to their children.
