Sometimes, our bodies encounter some restriction and need some help to remember how to move properly. These restrictions can come as a result of a number of things including:
Car accidents
Poor posture i.e. desk job or driving etc...
Surgery
Sports injuries
Repetitive motions
The human body is built for movement! I am passionate about discovering the puzzle pieces that restore this inherent mobility. For the body to operate painlessly as intended, balanced mobility is essential. Massage therapy has been instrumental in addressing issues such as:
Sciatic pain – This pain can be quite debilitating and can often travel down the back of the legs or into the low back. Releasing the tension associated with the pain, doing strengthening exercises, and following lifestyle advice can produce significant results.
Shoulder pain – The shoulder is a complex joint that must complete many movements simultaneously in order to function properly. Understanding the way that these movements relate to one another and using techniques to release the muscles is the key to lasting results.
Neck pain – This can result from a vehicle accident, posture issues, scar tissue, or stress. Finding the underlying cause can be critical to achieving lasting results.
Knee pain – Unless the knee has been directly injured, knee pain most often does not originate in the knee but it is the result of dysfunction in either the foot or the hip. Resolving the underlying issues can produce significant relief.
Hip pain – very often stemming from surgery or perhaps from many hours of sitting, hip pain can often be resolved by releasing the tissues and a few corrective exercises.
Lack of mobility – When our bodies are not regularly used to their potential, that potential is often reduced. Helping the various parts of the body to regain their movement is an excellent way to prevent injury and live pain free.
