Since a young child I knew I was destined to help people. If I wasn't massaging my great-grandmother's hands or feet, I was massaging my dad's shoulders after a hard day of work. I just never knew in what way and at what capacity I would be of help to people. After already having a late start to college, I switch my major at least three times unsure of what I wanted to do. I became tired and desperate. It left me no choice but to drop to my knees and pray. My prayer was "Dear God, I've switch my major three times and I am not enjoying the fields I am studying. I know I am destined to help people. I just don't know in what way and at what capacity I am suppose to help others. Please send me a sign! Show me what I am to do because I don't know! I don't want to start a career at 30 years old, so please show me!" That night a dream was revealed to me about how I used to massage my dad's shoulders. When I woke up I told my husband I was going to massage school and that's where my journey begin. I attended Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy and graduated in 2008. I received my North Carolina Board of Massage Therapy License in 2009. I have been practicing massage therapy full-time consecutively for the last eight years for a company called Zen Massage. I specialize in head, neck, and shoulders; helping those with postural imbalances and headaches/migraines. I also hold certificates and prenatal massage, lymphatic drainage, geriatrics and cupping. I am very experienced in working with expecting mothers, youth, the elderly, and those with disabilities. I have been called just about every name you can think of: Magic Hands, Healer, Angel, God sent... but the only thing that matters is that I massage from my heart with love and care. I truly love what I do and look forward to healing you.
