As a Raleigh, NC native, my goal for creating Modern Therapeutics is to develop and expand access for safe, science-based therapeutic bodywork in the Oak city and beyond. Through my work, I find focus on breath, movement, and attention to the body-mind connection are paramount in creating beneficial patterns of change. Above all, I strive to deliver an individualized session that can be adapted to ensure comfort and relaxation in a positive, healing environment.
I graduated from the Body Therapy Institute in Siler City in 2016 and have over 7 years experience working in top tier university medical facilities where I have offered personalized clinical care. Currently I work with an integrative wellness centers where I partner with a broad medical team to create and engage clients in comprehensive treatment plans based on their health history, injuries or conditions and goals.
Prior to graduating from massage school, I worked in a physical therapy environment for 5 years and bring a variety of skills from that field and other fields such as customer service, administration, and childcare. In my sessions, I incorporate knowledge from my extended time as a yoga student and active participant in exercise training to inform and instruct clients about self care and maintenance in-between sessions . These skills give me a unique perspective on massage and allow me to provide more extensive care for my clients. Through my passion and commitment to a balanced lifestyle, I seek to help clients gain a more complete sense of self through mindful, diverse and effective bodywork
My specialties include Myofascial massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Posture assessments with the ability to incorporate Aromatherapy, Hot Stone Therapy, Swedish massage and Cupping.
