Welcome! I am Derek Johnson-Dean. I started Relax Renew Massage & Wellness in the Whittier neighborhood in South Minneapolis in 2012, so I am thrilled to now offer Sports and Therapeutic massage services at Los Campeones, also in Whittier. I’ve been a practicing massage therapist since 2007.  In 2012, I completed a certification in Holistic Nutritional Coaching and Massage Therapy Certification at St. Paul College. The Certified Massage Therapy (CMT) program focused on Clinical Sports and Therapeutic Massage. 

Sport Massage has allowed me to work with runners in marathons, riders on the Red Ribbon Ride and women’s hockey tournaments. I enjoy helping active people keep practicing whatever keeps them stay active. 

Therapeutic Massage along with my medical case management training has allowed me to work with people with a variety of medical conditions who seek body work as a complement to ongoing therapies and strategies. 

Both services require an intake, brief assessment and individualized plan of attack that we’ll revisit to make sure you're getting the most out of every massage session.
