Carl Sones III is the owner of Press Massage and Bodywork in Kalamazoo, Michigan where he serves as the massage therapist and lead trainer. He has a passion for athletic training and has personally benefited from medical massage while training for performance and recovering from injuries. Carl is both a certified athletic trainer and licensed medical massage therapist which makes his approach to fitness and medical massage truly unique. Carl believes that the body and mind are connected and that both performance and quality of life can be improved through medical massage therapy. Massage has benefits for everyone. He works with athletes in training and individuals recovering from injury or seeking relief from soreness along with individuals that are in need of relaxation and stress reduction. PRESS was founded by Carl Sones III after he left a successful career to take a leap of faith and follow his passion for fitness and movement. Carl loves setting (and accomplishing) goals for himself but his greatest accomplishments center around helping others achieve their goals. When Carl is not at the massage studio you will most likely find him spending time (mostly chasing) his five beautiful children alongside his wife, Carla. Yup, you read that right. Carl married Carla (aren't the names cute?) and they have 5 kids. It’s a chaotic and beautiful blessing.
