My name is Dr. Katherine Lefrid and I'm a Myofascial Release (MFR) Practitioner of the John F. Barnes Approach. I have been a licensed Physical Therapist and Massage therapist for over 15 years. I have worked in multiple settings including outpatient clinics and acute care hospitals. I am also a certified Lymphedema and Wound Care Therapist. My journey with John F. Barnes began in 2007 and have been taken courses ever since. I have applied this approach in many different rehabilitation settings with amazing results. Allow me to help you reach your goal of living a high-quality, pain-free life! MFR is a gentle technique that applies sustained pressure into the restricted fascia. These restrictions can put up to 2000 psi on pain sensitive structures in the body and do not show up in any of the standardized medical tests. These restrictions can happen anywhere in the body, usually away from the area of pain or dysfunction. Some of the conditions than can be helped by the JFB Myofascial Release Approach are: Back Pain Jaw Pain Headaches Myofascial Pain Syndrome Fibromyalgia Chronic Pain Adhesions Neck pain Pelvic Floor Pain and Dysfunction Mastectomy Pain Painful Intercourse Urinary Problems Painful scars Coccydynia (Tail bone Pain)
