Welcome to Sandalwood and Stone, a safe place for healing.  I have created a safe, calming, and relaxing environment to allow space for my clients to mentally, physically, and emotionally unwind and soothe their soul one massage at a time. I am forever growing and learning both as a person and a practitioner to provide the best care for my clients.  

Get to Know Me

My name is Alicia Nelis, and I am the owner of this space.   I am a licensed massage therapist in Michigan.  I have been in the industry since 2006 along the lakeshore from Grand Haven to Saugatuck.  I have many years of experience working with different chiropractors and in spa settings.

With my many years of experience and a growing family I decided to open my very own small massage business in 2019, and thus Sandalwood and Stone was created.  It had always been a goal of mine since graduating massage school to own and operate my own business.   

With my many years of experience, I have completed many courses in continuing education to expand my massage knowledge and techniques to better serve my clients.  I have completed courses for pain management, fibromyalgia, advance trigger point therapy, John F. Barnes myofascial release, and cupping therapy.  I also have my certification as an acudetox specialist (auricular/ ear acupuncture) utilizing the NADA Protocol, am a certified hand and foot reflexologist with Branch Reflexology Institue, and a degree in medical assisting and phlebotomy from Davenport University.  I have become proficient in a variety of massage styles to individualize each session to the specific needs and preferences of my clients.  

Some modalities I excel in are deep tissue, relaxation, medical massage, myofascial release, cupping, auricular (ear) acupuncture, hand and foot reflexology, and pre/postnatal massage.  I have a love and passion for learning body and energy work.  I have plans of continuing to expand my knowledge of current, as well new modalities in the future so that I can better help my clients.   

Where to Find Me

I am located in Holland, Michigan, and inside Peasley Brothers Chiropractic at 442 Century Lane Suite 200.  Located conveniently between the north and south side of Holland off US31 and 16th Street.  (Please utilize the door closest to Black River Acupuncture.)
