Dear Friends,
My journey began at Irene’s School of Myomassology. Irene’s encompassed everything that I believed myself. Not only did I learn about the human body but I also learned, self care, healthy eating, and spiritual development.
During my career I have the opportunity to perform massage in many different environments and I found medical massage to bring me the most gratification. Working alongside, doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists has allowed me be to be creative in my treatments in order to find the most effective treatment method for the client. All practitioners have a part in a clients care and it is so nice when we can all work together to achieve that same goal.
Fast forward several years and I’m now in almost twenty years of my massage career. I am now starting to see a different type of clientele that may need more than the traditional massage. I began to see clients that sought care for themselves while caring for others. Imagine you are sick yourself and you need to care for a mother, a father or a sick child. When you come in for your massage you are just trying to make it through another day. Trust me, I can empathize. I customize each massage according to the client and their needs. But I asked myself how could I go deeper? I began incorporating more Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Emotional Release into my sessions. I found this produced the best results which leaves my clients feeling cared for and refreshed so that they are able to care for others.
When I’m not working with my hands, in the summer I enjoy lake swimming, walking, hiking, visiting farms and going to the beach. Michigan winters are not my favorite however, I will make the most of it by snowshoeing or I will stay inside crafting and memory keeping. I come from a large family of healers whether they like to admit it or not but I do believe I owe my intuitiveness to my parents. They taught me to always have compassion, work hard and do my best. Thanks mom and rest in love dad.
My goals are that each client come out of their massage feeling refreshed with a better understanding of their body works and how to care for themselves.
