Marcie Rhoads LMT, BCTMB, TIY, YTT200, Y12SR is a Nationally Board Certified Massage Therapist since 2012, Licensed Massage Therapist in Maryland and West Virginia since 2012, and Virginia since 2021 after completing the 630 hour massage training at Central Maryland School of Massage. Marcie has also completed additional massage training in Ashiatsu- Deep feet Bar Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy, Ayurvedic Massage, Geriatric Massage, Breathwork/ Pranayama. Marcie continues to train when accessible. Additionally, Marcie has a deep respect for learning in every moment, interaction, and experience of life. In 2017, Marcie completed Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher Training through Yogamore, which inspired her to complete Jala Yoga’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2018, Yoga for 12 Step Recovery with Nicki Myers in 2021 and another Trauma Informed training with Moving Mountains in 2022. In 2022, Marcie completed an Ashiatsu certification thru Deep Feet Bar Therapy- the original school for Ashiatsu in the US and has converted many clients preference to this modality. In 2023, she is adding a Personal Training Certification and a 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training to her skill set. Marcie continuously strives to grow her knowledge, skills, and tools to share with her clients, community, and in her ongoing personal healing from trauma and chronic illness. Marcie wholeheartedly believes that every-body has its own story to tell and that every-body deserves time, focus, and mindful attention from the heart to support positive change. She also believes in providing an open safe space for every-body too. She has learned that the union of yoga, massage, and ayurvedic/holistic type medicine ideologies are complementary practices, fostering a mindful perspective paving the way to self-healing, self-care and self love. Marcie can personally attest to this and has witnessed this healthy lifestyle transition in many others as well. She feels a strong connection to the motto "Self Care Is Community Service" and feels passionately about sharing these tools and information with our community to help foster these ripple effects within each other...and into our world.
