The same team that many have come to know and trust as ‘Sollievo’ is now the Cambridge Massage Collaborative. Please come see us in our new location at 2464 Massachusetts Ave., Suite 240.Experience a partnership between you and your therapist to create the right opportunities for positive change to occur in your body.By jointly investing in your personal health, we can help you manage chronic pain, recover from injuries, relieve tension and achieve relaxation.
In today’s world, where a stressful lifestyle has more commonly become a norm, massage and bodywork is taking its place as an indispensable component in staying healthy, prevention and recovery. It is also an important part of rehabilitation and is becoming an essential element in the treatment of many chronic conditions.
At CMC, we are advocates for massage and bodywork because we know that it assists in healing. In its simplest forms these therapies reduce stress hormones, and assist the circulation of blood and lymph, which supports our already powerful immune systems. We also know bodywork helps unwind tight muscles, unblock energy channels, and create the time and space your body needs to heal.
All of our therapists are graduates from accredited schools and licensed by the state of Massachusetts.
Bring us your creaks and groans, your nagging complaints from hard work, too much work, and playing hard. Let us lift you up when you've lifted too much, driven too far, sat for too long. Give us some time and see if we can help ease you into a fresh state of mind, a refreshed lengthening of body, and a healing cycle of rest and less weary days.
Please take a few moments to read through our precautions for Covid-19
According to the governor’s recent announcement our practice now has the go-ahead to re-open. We want to assure you that we will be following CDC guidelines and Massage Industry standards and regulations. In doing so there are a few changes in how you will experience scheduling and treatment. Also as we all learn more and circumstances change our policies and procedures may change to adjust to the presenting needs.During this initial phase;- Although we always followed industry standards regarding cleanliness and disinfecting, we will be following the current stricter guidelines for disinfecting surfaces and managing laundry.
- All clients and practitioners must wear nose and mouth covering masks. Please come prepared with your own mask.
- We will not be providing cups for water. We encourage you to bring your own bottled water and help yourself to our bottled water if you choose. The water dispersing push buttons will be disinfected after each use.
- Hand sanitizer is available in the reception area. Please sanitize your hands before entering the treatment room.
- Start and finish times for treatments will be staggered to reduce reception area traffic.
- To accommodate staggered treatment times please coordinate your appointment start time with the person you work with.
- The reception area will merely be a passage and not used for sitting before or after treatments.
- Check-in and check-out will take place within the treatment room.
- Because the reception area is not to be occupied, please plan on arriving on time and wait outside the building until receiving a text from your therapist that the treatment space is ready.
Sorry to state the obvious but - If you or anyone you have been in contact with is experiencing symptoms or have reason to believe you may have come in contact with someone that may be COVID 19 positive do not schedule an appointment. If you have an appointment cancel asap. If any of us or our clients become symptomatic, COVID- 19 positive or have reason to believe we have come in contact with someone that may be COVID 19 positive we will inform you asap. To uphold suggested practice guidelines for our individual and business practice insurance, we are requiring all clients to sign a waiver which acknowledges that, although we will do all that we reasonably can to create a safe environment for you and us, COVID- 19 is highly contagious and therefore you recognize your personal responsibility in making the decision to receive massage at this time and therefore will not hold us liable.I know all this creates a few layers of complication but in time, hopefully we will all get through this safely. If you have any questions contact your therapist and they’ll get back to you asap. Our sincere thanks ,The Team at CMC and CRA.**There is free parking at the rear of the building. They are good for up to two hours for our clients. Those parking spots not marked are for resident/stickered parking only and subject to towing. You can use the back door beneath the stairs to come into the lobby. We're on the 2nd floor accessible by the front stairs or the elevator.
