Life happens...
Each difficulty changes us. Chronic physical and emotional stress may result in unconscious holding patterns that lead to muscle imbalances, with some muscles being too tight and others being over-stretched. Chronic pain, stress, and anxiety have ripple effects on our bodies and on our relationships, job performance, health, and happiness.
The positive things we do for our bodies can also have ripple effects: healthy eating, time in nature, movement, friendship, laughter, to name a few. Massage can help improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation and can help relieve chronic pain. I encourage you to try massage and see if it has a positive ripple effect on your health and happiness.
I have lived with chronic pain for many years, and massage has helped me to feel and move better. As an active person who enjoys kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, skiing, gardening, woodworking, and weaving, I am familiar with many acute and repetitive use injuries and chronic pain patterns. I hope to be able to help you feel and move better so you can keep doing or rediscover the things that bring you joy.
