I believe that good health begins with self care. Eating well, staying hydrated, and exercise are all important components but so many of us do not take time for relaxation and body work. Massage is an important part of self care. Throughout human history, massage has been used to heal and improve the body's performance. It can alleviate stress and mental fatigue, aid in recovery from muscle tension and pain, and improve emotional wellness.
Everyday activities such as driving, using mobile devices, and working at computers can cause more pain and muscle tension than we even realize. Regular massage can diminish the effects of our hectic lives and improve our quality of life.
Since becoming a massage therapist in 2015, I found my calling in deep tissue and Acupressure techniques. While not for everyone, most people find this type of massage very effective in reducing pain and swelling, increasing range of motion and improving overall health. Many people find relief after their first session!
Massage therapy has given me a chance to do what I've always wanted which is to make the world a happier, healthier place one person at a time.
