Dan has been in full-time practice as a body-centered therapist since graduating in 1990 from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
In 1996, Dan completed his Advanced Rolfing® Certification with the European Rolfing Association in Rome, Italy. He initiated his studies in CranioSacral Therapy in 1993 is has been a certified Craniosacral Therapist and teaching assistant with the Upledger Institute since 1998. Dan is a a certified Visceral Manipulation Therapist and teaching assistant with the Barral Institute since 2004.
Dan graduated in 2006 from the Hakomi Institute’s Body-Centered Psychotherapy three (3) year Professional Skills Training program. Dan is an Indiana State Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Acu-Detox Specialist (LADS) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC). Dan completed post-graduate studies in Sex Therapy and Sex Education at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 2018. Dan completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Indiana University in 2009 and earned his baccalaureate degree from Indiana University in 1986. Dan is an Indiana State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and a member in good standing at the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration (Rolf.org), the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP.com), the International Association of Healthcare Practitioners (IAHP.com), the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy (USABP) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT.com). Dan currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute.
Dan is married with an adult son, young daughter and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys a variety of activities including tennis, yoga, running, dancing and travel.
[Rolfing is a hands-on therapy; it is not massage and, although Dan is a licensed massage therapist, he does not practice nor offer massage therapy.]
