I can say, this field chose me, I did not choose it. I was fresh out of high school completely undecided on what I wanted to do with my future career goals. I knew I loved the medical field and had a grace about always wanting to help people. I was told about a massage school where I could get some credentials behind my name and start a job in that light. I said I'd go for it and jumped right in. I was not prepared.      I thought massage was a spa treatment at a high end place where only the rich and privileged people went. How wrong I was! What we learned in a 700 hour course ranged in: Anatomy Physiology Kinesiology Origins and Insertions Business Marketing An array in variety of styles and techniques of massage Skeletal System Muscular System Energy work  Clinicals Ethics and Professionalism       I was floored and overwhelmed. I didn't know at the time my destiny was being prepared and my life was completely changing. For me, massage turned into exactly what people should know it is ... healthcare. Our bodies and minds were not designed to move so quickly, unrestly, and deprived of the peace that our longevity thrives off of. I knew I wanted to help people and achieving this career has elated my hope in reaching as many people as possible. It's a very rewarding and learning experience to be able to help people with a variety of needs.      Back in 2005 the state of Indiana did not have any laws or licensing that made Massage Therapy a Professional and Credited business. Anyone could put you in a room and claim what they wished.  Our class set out to change that! We were able to get licensing legal in our State! Hooray for the Bodyworks Massage Institute class of 2006! Since my career started, I have been able to work with celebrities, been offered unheard of opportunities, worked in certain spas and with chiropractors. I feel very blessed in this career and hope when you experience my massages you will feel the sincere and total care I have for your body and mind.
