My name is Gigton (Pronounced: Jit-ton). I have been in the massage industry since 2003. I have worked for chiropractors and a couple of spas before teaching. I have taught massage therapy in former programs at GMI (Georgia Medical Institute) and API (American Professional Institute). Currently, I am an independent contractor at Staple Therapeutics and a Massage CE provider.
My belief is that it takes heart and the ability to connect with the muscles you are treating to be in this industry. I can teach about the muscles, massage therapy purpose/techniques, various massage business practices but I can't teach heart.
