Here’s a little background about me. I graduated from Connecticut Center For Massage Therapy (CCMT) and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2004. I became a Reiki Master in 2012 and a Certified Advanced Crystal Master in 2016. I have a love and passion for massage and energy work. There's a great deal of satisfaction that I get when my clients are done with a session. I love the look on their faces when they come to that zen moment. I think what made me appreciate pure relaxation and release is having a background in Finance, which doesn't have much zen or relaxation. When you get some zen in your life, you crave more. I needed to make a change. I needed to find something in my life that could help me balance the fast pace of finance and the longing desire to feel peace and relaxation. I was first attracted to crystals. I love that sensation of calm when I pick up a Rose Quartz or Blue Lace Agate. I felt a strong connection to them and started buying them and meditating with them. At the time there weren't any crystal certification courses. I thought Massage Therapy would be a complimentary modality to achieving relaxation. Why not put crystals with massage. I enrolled in CCMT in 2003. I absolutely loved massage school. I met a lot of wonderful like-minded people and we achieved the same goal of peace and relaxation that I was longing for.
After graduation I became a Reiki Master. I then got trained in Transcendental Meditation, which entails meditating twice a day for 20 minutes. It's not just relaxing, but rejuvenating. Finally, Crystal Healing Certification is a thing now. I started studying in 2014 at the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy. I practice crystal healing with Reiki and also integrate it into massage. For self care, I practice Tai Chi, Yoga, Weight Training and HIIT workouts.
I'm not just about zen and relaxation, I also enjoy the therapeutic and orthopedic side of massage. I have helped several people with shoulder pain, neck pain, knee issues, hip issues after surgery, as well as systemic issues such as Fibromyalgia, Diabetes and Lyme Disease. I'm also a member of the Dr.Dot International Massage Team, which involves massaging celebrities and roadies, backstage at concert venues. I've met some interesting folks and have seen quite a few injuries. I learned that it's not all partying, fun and games for them. They work hard as well as play hard.
