HISTORY

The hot springs of the Wiesbaden have been flowing from the San Juan Mountains of Western Colorado for thousands of years. They range in temperature from 85 to 134 degrees fahrenheit. The Ute Natives who settled here and other tribes who traveled for days to reach the healing waters considered them sacred and deemed them "Miracle Waters" because of their curative powers.  Still, today, the Wiesbaden springs are used for ceremonial purposes.

HOT SPRINGS

The soaking facilities at the Wiesbaden are fed by its continually flowing natural hot springs ranging in temperature from 102 degrees to 111 degrees. There is no recirculated water at the Wiesbaden. The water is pure as it emanates from deep under the earth’s surface and remains untreated with chemicals and additives as it continually flows through the pools. These waters are pure and unaltered. The medicinal and healing qualities of the Wiesbaden’s particular springs are widely recognized and considered "unequaled" for their therapeutic distinction.

​The vapor cave and main outside pool are open to hotel guests and day guests. The private pool named the "Lorelei" is available by reservation.

LODGING

Check into one of our comfortable ensuite rooms, or perhaps the Historic Hill Cottage, a rustic cabin for two. The House Across the Way and the Historic Hill Cottage are both on the historic register. Just up the hill is the House on the Hill with three bedrooms, two baths & a large deck with a spectacular view.
