Bio
After a successful 20-year career in the corporate tech industry, I realized that my work was not bringing me the fulfillment I needed. I had reached a point where I felt unmotivated and disillusioned, recognizing that my efforts were fueling corporate gains without a clear, meaningful impact on others. In November 2023, I made the decision to leave tech and embark on a more purpose-driven path in bodywork, specifically massage therapy.
This journey led to the creation of Full Spectrum Healing, a name that embodies my mission to create a welcoming and safe space for all communities, with special emphasis on supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Full Spectrum Healing reflects my dedication to honoring the diverse needs of my clients and providing care that meets them wherever they are on their wellness journey. Whether your goals include relaxation, therapeutic massage, sports preparation or recovery, post-surgery healing, or lymphatic drainage, I am committed to supporting you in the full spectrum of your bodywork needs.
I am a graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts, where my studies deepened my skills in promoting recovery, well-being, and sustainable health. As an avid hiker, backpacker, cyclist, and outdoor enthusiast, I bring a unique understanding to clients who share similar goals of maintaining an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
My philosophy is rooted in helping people achieve longevity and sustainability within their bodies, empowering them to pursue their physical goals with confidence. I aspire to be a skilled, trusted, and respected bodyworker in my community, building meaningful connections through therapeutic healing and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where will my massage or bodywork session take place?
Your massage or bodywork session will take place either in my home or I can travel to yours. When receiving massage in my home (located near the intersection of Hampden Ave & S Tamarac Dr), I provide a warm, comfortable and quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort. A guest bathroom is provided just across the hall for the massage room. I must disclose that I care for two cats, however, they are not permitted in the area of the home where the massage room and guest bathroom are located, and I provide a dander removing air purifier in the massage room. Alternatively, I may travel to your home for an additional travel and setup fee of $35. In this case, please ensure there is a private, quiet space prepared for your massage session. This area should be free from pets, children, and other distractions, with enough room for my massage table and at least three feet of clearance around all sides to allow for a comfortable and effective session.
Must I be completely undressed?
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.
Will the practitioner be present when I disrobe?
The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet and blanket. I will knock first and gain verbal confirmation that you’re ready before re-entering the room.
Will I be covered during the session?
You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.
What if I prefer to not be draped during massage?
Draping is a professional technique that protects the client's privacy and allows them to feel comfortable and safe. In the state of Colorado, appropriate draping of a client is to include draping of the buttocks, female breast tissue and genitalia of all clients, unless the client gives specific written consent to be un-draped. Therefore, if a client prefers to remain fully un-draped during their session, a written consent form must first be completed and the client must understand and agree to my policies of appropriate behavior (any inappropriate or sexually suggestive behavior will result in immediate termination of the session without refund).
What parts of my body will be massaged?
A typical full-body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, gluteals, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. Before your session, we will discuss what you would like worked on. At that time, please inform the therapist of any areas you prefer to not be massaged.
What will the massage or bodywork feel like?
A relaxing Swedish massage is often a baseline for clients. In a general Swedish massage, your session may start with broad, flowing strokes that will help calm your nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension. As your body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve areas of muscular tension. I use an unscented Vegan massage cream (that won't stain clothing) to allow your muscles to be massaged without causing excessive friction to the skin. The cream also helps hydrate your skin. You should communicate immediately if you feel any discomfort so that another approach may be taken. Massage and bodywork are most effective when your body is not resisting.
Are there different kinds of massage and bodywork?
There are numerous types of massage and bodywork; various techniques utilize different strokes, including basic rubbing strokes, rocking movement, posture and movement re-education, application of pressure to specific points, and more. We can discuss which methods may be most appropriate for you.
What should I do during the massage or bodywork session?
Prior to the massage, feel free to ask the practitioner any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the massage, make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions regarding the session or about the particular technique you are receiving, feel free to ask.
How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down (affectionately called "massage-brain"), people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.
What are the benefits of massage and bodywork?
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
Are there any medical conditions that would make massage or bodywork inadvisable?
Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.
