My name is Jessica and I believe that bodywork is HEALTHFUL ❤️
I was born and raised here in beautiful Sonoma County and have spent the last 5 years serving the community through my bodywork. My massage therapy career started from the simple joy of giving. Massage can and should be used as a natural assistance for self healing, recovery, maintenance, and improving performance and/or function.
I am a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist practicing Trigger Point Therapy, a modality used to target chronic pain. Trigger Point work is detailed and focused, locating the muscle fibers that are the origin of the pain. Taking into account the nerves that innervate the region. Below is an example of what Trigger Point pain looks like. The X located on the neck is the trigger point and the red colored area is the referred pain. It shows that where you are experiencing pain may not be the the exact root cause. Therefore, releasing the trigger point (X), will reduce or relieve the referred pain (the red colored area).
*Please note that Trigger Point is not a full body massage.
