Antonio is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of California by the CMTC (California Massage Therapy Council) and a member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). He graduated from Educating Hands School of Massage in Miami, Florida achieving 625 hours of massage training. His career spans over 20 years in professional massage therapy, including experience in several corporate massage establishments, resort spas and in personal client massage therapy and restorative healing. He continued his clinical work to broaden his knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology by working in a Chiropractic office. Antonio uses his extensive knowledge of human anatomy and kinesiology to bring about the most effective massage therapy for his clients. He works with his clients by focusing on their massage clinical needs as discussed during the intake process and being perceptive to the body’s feedback throughout the massage session. Consistent massage therapy on its own or in conjunction with another treatment, such as acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, doctors’ treatment plans, physical therapy, or surgery, facilitates their performance, plus, prolongs their benefits. Detailed Benefits : • offers a drug-free, non-invasive and humanistic approach to assist the body’s naturally healing. • increases serotonin that regulates mood and digestion. Also, serotonin is essential in the production of melatonin, promoting rest and relaxation, aiding in a sound restorative night's sleep. • facilitates the circulation of oxygen rich blood and other essential nutrients throughout the body. • encourages the movement of lymph fluids for filtration of toxins and stimulation of the immune system, alleviating conditions, such as fibromyalgia. • relieves injury or pain resulting from bad posture or repetitive movements and overuse causing muscle strain. • alleviates lactic acid buildup after rigorous training and competition. • promotes faster recovery from physical exercise by repairing and rejuvenating the growth of new muscle tissue. • strengthens the body to minimize the extent of future injuries and reduces healing time. • releases contracted muscles and pushes venous blood towards the heart, easing the strain on the heart, lowering high blood pressure. • helps to reduce the formation of scar tissue during the reparative process from injury. • stimulates the rejuvenating process of skin cells. • releases endorphins (the feel-good hormones) and inhibits the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline. The effects of massage therapy are cumulative. If the goal is one of health maintenance, a massage every week or two can help one feel better and reduce tension and stress levels. For those who do not get enough physical exercise, a monthly regular massage is as highly recommended to increase energy levels and a motivated frame of mind to encourage one to pursue more physical activity. Antonio likes to conduct a thorough intake process with the client before commencing the massage so that expectations are fully met and the benefits are realized well after the session.
