Years ago, I went to a retreat in the Pacific Northwest where I helped a group of healers administer reiki energy work to as many people as we could lay hands on in two days. That weekend helped me define what would become one of the main focal points of my life. For all the joy I get in helping to facilitate healing, I still remain at my core a big nerd about many things, including food, nature, music, and the human body. At this point, I have well over ten years' experience in modalities such as myofascial release, deep tissue, positional release, neuromuscular re-education and Thai massage, and I strive to bring everything I've learned with me to the table (or, in some cases, the mat). I tend to hold pressure and positions to allow the body to relax, and have a tendency to rock the body, traction limbs, and incorporate movement into my practice as well.
Go on, be a good friend and share MassageBook with them. They'll love you for it.
