Our Passion at Selby Medical Massage is to aid in improving the function and quality of life for our clients. We love to see the sparkle in their eyes return when we have helped address their aches and pain.
**Please note this business consists of only two providers, Heather and Veronica Selby. We have no receptionist or additional staff to answer phone calls. While we do our best to call clients back between sessions, texting questions, texting to book or booking online will likely have a quicker response then a phone call. Thank you for your understanding. **

What Is Medical Massage?
Medical Massage Protocols are designed to strategically target specific areas that are dysfunctional and/or causing significant pain for the client. The goal of Medical Massage is to restore stability and function, facilitate recovery of injuries, manage pain and increase quality of life in as short a period as possible. This is not a full body massage. This is a science; a clinical based approach to your massage therapy session.
- First, we do a detailed evaluation that can take anywhere between 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
- Then, we create a treatment plan specifically for you that can range from 2 to 14 sessions, and we schedule sessions 2-7 days apart. Each treatment session is 30 to 60 minutes long.
- After a certain number of sessions, we reevaluate if another round of medical massage sessions is required before switching to a preventative monthly maintenance type plan. This is when your 'Medical Massages' will switch to 'Therapeutic Massages'.
What is Therapeutic Massage?
- Therapeutic Massage may or may not be a full body session. It is fully customizable. If you are looking for Deep Tissue, Relaxation or Sports Massages, this is the session for you. The sessions are not scheduled as close together as Medical Massage sessions are. Therapeutic sessions are typically every 2-4 weeks or as needed (instead of 1-2xs per week) and do not have as lengthy of evaluation or post session conversation about homework.
Your intake form is very detailed. Do I need to be in pain or have an injury to be your client?
- NO! You do not need to be in pain or have an injury to be our client. If you are looking for maintenance or preventative full body massage, please book a Therapeutic Massage. We offer those for 60- or 90-minute sessions. If the intake form has any questions that do not apply to you, please skip it.
How long are the massage sessions? Are there add-ons? Modalities?
- We offer 30-Minute, 45-Minute, 60-Minute and 90 Minute Massages.
- Add-ons: Aromatherapy, Cupping, Himalayan Salt Stone, CBD, Scraping, and Cold Stone Face & Scalp
- Modalities offered: Medical Massage, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Pre/Post Sporting Event, Relaxation, Prenatal, Full Body Massage

- No, we do not take Health Insurance at this time.
