As someone who values the significance of self-care and improvement, my primary goal for each treatment is to make sure my clients leave feeling like a better version of themselves. What you will find in my intuitive bodywork style is that my touch, movement, and pressure are very slow and therapeutic. Oftentimes I will hold steady and intentional pressure in just one area that needs more time and patience to be witnessed and released. In such a fast paced society, I believe in order to have true restoration and healing, we need to slow down, feel more, and do less.
To me, it feels like my body and spirit is in direct communication with the body and spirit of whomever I am working with. This allows me to tune in with my intuition and be guided to where the body is needing the most work. Clients will mention how I found problem areas that they didn't even know were there because they had gotten so used to the pain and discomfort that they suppresshed it. Each treatment with me is completely unique to that time depending on where the client is in their lives and what's happening in their bodies. Many people believe that in order to treat an issue, we need to target the symptoms. But with my knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, I not only treat the symptoms, I also target where the issues are coming from.
My integrative modalities and skill sets include but are not limited to Myofascial release, trigger point therapy, thai-style stretching, myofascial cupping, prenatal, craniosacral therapy, and reiki, all while encompassing traditional swedish and deep tissue massage. My specialties are working with chronic pain management and injury specific problems. Most of my return clients see me for neck, shoulders and hip related issues but I have also worked with a wide range of conditions such as sciatica, cerebral palsy, whiplash, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ dysfunction, RA, chronic headaches/migraines, anxiety, PTSD, and much more.
I tend to attract clients that have more emotional needs than physical which has led me to taking a course on trauma-informed bodywork so that I know how to support those that have emotional release during massage sessions. I find that one of my main purposes for being alive is to hold a safe space for people to express themselves authentically and truly be heard and seen in their vulnerability. This has also inspired me to receive a certification in life coaching which I also provide for people that desire that kind of support. You may also see me offering group coaching and workshops on conscious communication and honing the power of our vulnerability as well.
Overall, my mission is to be of service to the greater good and betterment of this world whether it is through healing touch or just a compassionate smile. I am here to help!
