Tangie Fuller, a Licensed Massage Therapist trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular modalities. I am also a Master Cosmetologist and holds a Master Degree in Social Work in Planning and Agency Administration from the University of Alabama School of Social Work. After working in the cosmetology and social services industry over the years along with being a family caregiver, massage therapy became an integrative part of my physical, mental, and emotional wellness and self-care regimen to aid with facilitating my overall wellbeing. I have learned to nurture my own well-being in the same manner as I had done so while being a service to others over the years.
In addition, with the desire to help others looking to transition to a more holistic approach to foster their own well-being; mind, body and spirit by focusing on stress management and reduction, creating work-life balance, implementing alternative healing resources, and regularly practicing self-care to improve their overall wellness, I decided to follow my soul’s calling into massage therapy services. As a result, I enrolled at the Birmingham School of Massage after being a longtime client as therapeutic massage had become a part of my self-care and wellness regimen since 2009.
What started out as simply planning relaxing time in monthly staff meetings, preparing team building activities, yearly staff retreats, monthly Self-Care Girls Night Out, departmental Wellness Wednesdays, and to creating company Wellness office spaces and sensory rooms evolved into the pleasure and dream to helping others create a calm, relaxing, and peaceful way of being by now opening a wellness space in 2023 offering wellness -oriented therapeutic massage and other holistic services to meet the needs of individuals and the community.
In my spare time, you will find me mediating or practicing yoga in the brisk morning air, reading a good book, creating an odd work of art with arts and crafts, dancing to my favorite music tunes, and simply traveling in my RV (recreational vehicle) to relax by the lake or exploring different cuisines and cultures abroad.
