I think that every massage should be personalized to the person and what their body needs in that moment. No two therapists are the same, and your body will need something different next time than it needs this time. I enjoy understanding the anatomy and thinking through how it impacts what we do. When you are getting a massage, I am constantly considering the levels of tension or relaxation between different muscles and how they are helping to indicate, like a puzzle, which pieces need the most attention next.
