Targeted, evidence-based care—personalized to relieve pain, restore movement, and get you back to what you love.

At Selby Medical Massage, our passion is helping people improve their function and quality of life. We love seeing the sparkle return to our clients’ eyes when we’ve helped ease their pain and restore comfort in their bodies.

As Certified Medical Massage Practitioners, our mission is to help you move and feel better—not just for today, but for the long term. Whether you're managing chronic tension, recovering from an injury, or dealing with everyday aches from an active lifestyle, we use evidence-based techniques rooted in anatomy, experience, and compassion. From desk workers to athletes and post-surgical clients, we work with individuals of all ages to optimize their body's performance and quality of life.

At Selby Medical Massage, we specialize in clinical massage therapy that goes beyond relaxation. Every session is personalized and goal-focused, grounded in what your body truly needs to target the root cause of your discomfort or muscular dysfunction—without unnecessary fluff. You'll receive focused, therapeutic work in a calm, supportive environment where your health goals always come first. We're here to help you get back to doing what you love.

We offer two service types. Medical Massage and Therapeutic Massage. Therapeutic Massage is the monthly maintenance and preventative care like Deep Tissue, Relaxation or Sports. Medical Massage is more frequent at first with sessions once or twice a week till the specific condition is managed or eliminated, then the client is switched to Therapeutic maintenance/preventative massage plan.

Heather and Veronica have over 19 years of combined experience in spa and clinical settings, they blend the best of both worlds in one location. Veronica & Heather are Licensed Massage Therapists (Since 2017/2014), Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapists (2015/2018), and Certified Medical Massage Practitioners (2023/2024).

What Is Medical Massage?

Medical Massage Protocols are designed to strategically target specific areas that are dysfunctional and/or causing significant pain for the client. The goal of Medical Massage is to restore stability and function, facilitate recovery of injuries, manage pain and increase quality of life in as short a period as possible. This is not a full body massage. This is a science; a clinical based approach to your massage therapy session.

  • First, we do a detailed evaluation that can take anywhere between 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • Then, we create a treatment plan specifically for you that can range from 2 to 14 sessions, and we schedule sessions 2-7 days apart. Each treatment session is 30 to 60 minutes long.
  • After a certain number of sessions, we reevaluate if another round of medical massage sessions is required before switching to a preventative monthly maintenance type plan. This is when your 'Medical Massages' will switch to 'Therapeutic Massages'.

What is Therapeutic Massage?

  • Therapeutic Massage may or may not be a full body session. It is fully customizable. If you are looking for Deep Tissue, Relaxation or Sports Massages, this is the session for you. The sessions are not scheduled as close together as Medical Massage sessions are. Therapeutic sessions are typically every 2-4 weeks or as needed (instead of 1-2xs per week) and do not have as lengthy of evaluation or post session conversation about homework.

Your intake form is very detailed. Do I need to be in pain or have an injury to be your client?

  • NO! You do not need to be in pain or have an injury to be our client. If you are looking for maintenance or preventative full body massage, please book a Therapeutic Massage. We offer those for 60- or 90-minute sessions. If the intake form has any questions that do not apply to you, please skip it.

How long are the massage sessions? Are there add-ons? Modalities?

  • We offer 30-Minute, 45-Minute, 60-Minute and 90 Minute Massages.
  • Add-ons: Aromatherapy, Cupping, Himalayan Salt Stone, CBD, Scraping, and Cold Stone Face & Scalp
  • Modalities offered: Medical Massage, Neuromuscular, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Pre/Post Sporting Event, Relaxation, Prenatal, Full Body Massage

Do we take Insurance, HSA, FSA, Medical Spending Cards?

  • Yes, we can process HSA, FSA and Medical Spending cards. We will provide a digital receipt they may or may not request from you after processing.
  • No, we do not take Health Insurance at this time.
  • If our online booking system does not seem to be processing your HSA/FSA, don't worry! Contact us by text or call to tell us which time slot you are trying to book, and we will get you scheduled 480-382-2537

Are Massage Therapists licensed to diagnose?

  • No, Licensed Massage Therapists are not licensed to diagnose. In certain situations, we may refer out to a physician and request you bring back a copy of the results/findings.

Do we have same day booking?

  • No same day bookings. Please contact us or book online to schedule.

Is it better to text, call or book online?

  • Text or Book Online: Please note this business consists of only two providers, Heather and Veronica Selby. We have no receptionist or additional staff to answer phone calls. While we do our best to call clients back between sessions, texting questions, texting to book or booking online will likely have a quicker response then a phone call. Thank you for your understanding.
