WHAT IS A BCTMB?
National Certification requires higher education and a high level of critical thinking skills, and applicants must pass a rigorous exam.
The exam includes knowledge of orthopedic assessment, applied science such as pathology and pharmacology, and real-life scenarios to develop favorable treatment.
A person has to acquire a Massage Therapist license first and then get further education to take the NCTMB exam. You may also take the BCTMB exam if you have premed college courses or a degree in the Medical Sciences education area.

Mary has been a Board Certified Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworker (BCTMB) for 12 years. This includes many medical bodywork modalities, stretches, exercises, and assessments.
Mary has a pre-med degree, maintained a 4.0 average in college, and was in a PT program.

You MUST have the information below before the 1st Auto Accident Visit:
Auto Insurance name, Claim Number, Contact name and phone number of the agent handling your PIP claim, and a fax number to which to fax the bill.
You will need a prescription from a GP, chiropractor, naturopathic, or medical doctor. You must have the prescription by the first appointment.
Ask your doctor's office to fax the prescription to 425-777-2100.
**Valley and Eastside do not bill regular medical insurance. However, many insurance companies do reimburse you for massages. We will give you a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. It is/your responsibility to find out what your insurance reimburses you.
