I became a massage therapist because I wanted to do fulfilling, hands-on work that engaged my brain. That's part of why I loved teaching massage for almost nine years at East West College of the Healing Arts. My clients love how I seem to find "the spots" and adjust my pressure accordingly--it’s not about no pain-no gain, or the deeper the better. I often have them do active movement or resistance during the session, which feels helpful and makes for a more effective release. Finding the right fit is so important; I'm not the right massage therapist for every person, and I'm happy to help with referrals.
I graduated from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2003, and I opened my private practice in 2009. True North Massage is named for where I grew up--Alaska--and I see myself as a guide rather than an expert in your healthcare journey. My primary techniques include myofascial, muscle energy, Swedish, and trigger point therapy. Request your appointment today!
