Autumn leaves, chilly mornings...it's perfect massage weather. Stay cozy!

Jill Kauffman graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage in Ithaca, NY in 2007.  She has worked in a variety of settings, from spa to medical massage clinic, from the east coast to the west coast.  She loves using myofascial style work, hydrotherapy, and informed touch to help people find balance in their bodies, and to reduce stress and pain.  She believes that healthy, nurturing touch is crucial to reducing stress and increasing a sense of well being.  Jill aims to provide an integrative, balanced session that leaves you feeling relieved and nourished.

If there's one thing that we can count on, it's that things will change.  As humans, our bodies are changing constantly, adapting to our environment--both external and internal.  And while we have an overwhelming amount of choices and decisions to make each day, we often feel that we don't have a choice when it comes to how our own bodies feel.  But guess what?  You can choose to make changes in your life, in your habits, in your priorities that will positively affect your well being.  You can have more control over how your body feels!  When you choose to make these changes, your body will start to shift.

When you are receiving a massage, we are communicating with your nervous system.  The message might be to a specific muscle telling it to lengthen, to your fascial network encouraging it to glide, or it might be the overarching message that you are calm, cared for and safe.  It is this communication with your nervous system that will cause a shift in your sense of well being and lessen your experience of pain or discomfort.  Whether profound or subtle, these shifts are positive and will improve your quality of life.

If you are experiencing any of the following, I encourage you to make an appointment.

Chronic pain

Stress

Stiffness/Achiness

Muscle pain/discomfort

Headaches

Anxiety/Depression

Recovering from Surgery

Muscle/joint Injury

By choosing to care for your body, you can initiate healing and experience a Shift:
