Bodywork for Balance,Flexibility and Resilience

My work ranges from injury rehabilitation to health and fitness. Using my experience in clinics with chiropractors, physical therapists and trainers, I gently guide clients from acute pain due to auto accidents, job injury, or sports injury towards pain relief and restored muscle tone. This will also complement care they get from chiropractors, personal trainers and acupuncturists. The bodywork I offer enables clients to move with ease and recover with energy. This includes relaxation, deep tissue massage, sport massage, myofascial release and structural integration. In our sessions, I assist clients as they take control of their condition and discover appropriate self care, therapeutic exercise, and healthy lifestyle that will assist in their goals.

As a casual cyclist and competitive fencer, I am well acquainted with the muscle strains and injuries that can occur with an active lifestyle. Having served as a massage therapist for a Hood to Coast team, for bicycling events throughout the Pacific Northwest and for competitors of the 2008 US Olympic Fencing Qualifiers, I understand the desire of active clients to get back in their game. So I adapt my work not only to their particular injury, muscle strain or restriction but, more importantly, to their fitness level and training schedule so it complements and enhances their activities.

The culmination of my work is my certification in KMI Structural Integration, commonly known as Anatomy Trains developed by Tom Myers. This work focuses on unwinding and lengthening connective tissue which binds and encases muscle, tendon, ligament and bone. With this approach, I restore and align the client to a more functional and balanced state of being where he can move with elasticity, play with energy and build capacity and reserves when needed for exertion.

Bodywork sessions are available Thursday and Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm and can be booked online through my website therapeuticbodyworkpdx.com and through Massage Book.

Neurovascular Release Coaching sessions are only available online Sunday through Wednesday 10am - 5pm through the Zoom portal. You can only book these session by contacting me directly at 503-729-0747 and request an  appointment. I will then set up your session and send you a Zoom link via email.
