Now’s your big moment.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12th.
Don’t let this key time to maximize engagement and sales go to waste.
Gift Certificates, Promotions and Campaigns are the virtual assistant every independent bodyworker can rely on to execute a recipe for success!
Below are three step-by-step plans to show you how to get the most out of each Marketing feature. So please, be our guest, and feel free to copy the guide to suit the needs of you and your clients.
Links to in depth help articles are included should you need further explanation per step.
Send a Campaign About Gift Certificates
This is the most basic strategy, and it’s something you should absolutely do even if you aren’t planning to run any specials. Your clients need to know you sell gift certificates and where they can purchase online.
1. Go to the Marketing section of your MassageBook Business Profile to get started. Here’s where we’ll create a new Campaign to send to all of our clients. Let’s select the Mother’s Day template on the Select Template step.
2. We’ll need to enter an email subject once we get to the Design step. Everybody wants to be on mom’s good side, right? Here’s one you can use that offers your customers and mom a win-win:
Earn extra brownie points from mom this Mother’s Day
3. Now we’ll start creating the body of our email. First, let’s change the header in the template to:
The Gift Mom Will Love
4. We’ll get straight to the point with the rest of the email. Here’s informative copy you can use that benefits your customers and mom:
Do you know what you’re getting mom for Mother’s Day?
Let’s give her a break this year.
We offer an easy way to purchase gift certificates online.
We’ll take the stress out of your gift giving.
Mom will be glad you did :)
Select Shop Now to go the Gift Certificates page of our website. Then choose your gift, select a certificate design (Mother’s Day ones are an option), and add a personalized message to lucky mom. Print or email delivery available.
5. You can send the email immediately if you prefer, but for this round, we’ll schedule it to go out on Monday, May 6th.
6. After the first goes out, we’ll replicate it and make edits so we can send a follow up later in the week.
7. We’ll need a new subject for the second email. It’s usually wise to listen to mom, so here’s one we’ll use this time:
Here’s the gift mom says she’ll love
8. We’ll make a few changes to the email, but we’ll leave the rest the same to keep it easy. Let’s use this for the header:
In case you missed it
Then let’s replace the first sentence in the body with:
Mother’s Day is in two days.
9. We’ll schedule this one to go out on Friday, May 10th for those last minute gift givers.
Create a Gift Certificate Promotion
Let’s use a Promotion to offer $10 off gift certificates through Mother’s Day. It’ll be our gift to our awesome clients.
1. Go to Promotions in the Marketing section of your Business Profile to get started. Here’s where we’ll create a Gift Certificate Promotion.
2. We’ll title the Promotion:
Just for Mom
3. We’ll use this for the description:
Give the gift of health and wellness this Mother’s Day. Buy a gift certificate below and receive $10 off. Select a certificate design (Mother’s Day ones available), add a personalized message to mom, and choose to email or print it. The gift code is valued at the original price of the service. This offer is available through the end of Mother’s Day.
4. Once we’ve finalized the details of our Promotion, we’ll announce it through a Campaign that we’ll design on our own. Let’s make sure we follow the steps outlined in the help tutorial so that we properly link the Promotion to the Campaign.
5. Our email subject should let our customers know that this is a deal they shouldn’t miss especially since mom agrees. We’ll use this:
Here’s the deal your mother does not want you to miss
6. We’ll be direct with the email and let the Promotion’s page outline the details. Here’s what we’ll enter:
Do you know what you’re getting mom for Mother’s Day?
We’ve made it super simple to give her the me-time she deserves.
And we’re including extra savings for you too.
Select the link below to purchase a gift certificate for $10 off through Mother’s Day!
7. We’ll schedule this to send on Monday, May 6th.
8. Then we’ll share the deal on social media on Wednesday, May 8th and Friday, May 10th.
Run a Flash Sale on a Gift Certificate Promotion
Let’s offer 25% off on gift certificates between Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th. We’ll limit it to 5 total purchases per day. This big offer in a small window could have potential to generate huge sales.
1. Go to Promotions in the Marketing section of your Business Profile to get started. Here’s where we’ll create a Gift Certificate Promotion.
2. We’ll title the Promotion:
Mother’s Day Flash Sale
3. We’ll use this for the description:
Purchase gift certificates below for 25% off between now and May 9th. But act quickly! Only 5 are available for purchase per day. Select a certificate design (Mother’s Day ones available), add a personalized message to mom, and choose to email or print it. The gift code is valued at the original price of the service.
4. Once we’ve finalized the details of our Promotion, we’ll announce it through a Campaign that we’ll design on our own. Let’s make sure we follow the steps outlined in the help tutorial so that we properly link the Promotion to the Campaign.
5. Our email subject should let our customers know that they need to act fast and now on this limited, big time promotion. Let’s use this one:
Don’t snooze on mom—25% off ends tomorrow
6. We’ll be direct with the email and let the Promotion’s page outline the details. Here’s what we’ll enter:
Mother’s Day is Sunday, but your savings end Thursday!
We’ve made it super simple (and super affordable!) to give mom the me-time she deserves.
Gift certificates are on sale for 25% off at the link below.
But do hurry!
Only 5 purchases are available per day.
Time’s running out…
7. We’ll schedule this to send on Wednesday, May 8th so that our customers get the email on the start date of the sale.
Here’s to the best Mother’s Day yet!
