The Story Behind Ivy Leigh Wellness
The journey of Ivy Leigh Wellness is deeply personal, rooted in a profound desire to help others feel better, both physically and emotionally.
I began my path as a full-time caregiver for a parent with Alzheimer's disease. The emotional and physical stress of caregiving took a significant toll on my well-being, manifesting in chronic migraine pain. Seeking relief, I turned to weekly massage treatments, and I was amazed by the immediate relief I felt. The stress melted away, and my migraine pain was significantly reduced. This experience was a turning point. I promised myself that I would learn how to provide this kind of healing to others.
When my father passed away, I enrolled in the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, to become a licensed massage therapist. It was a calling I couldn't ignore. My passion for a healthy lifestyle and my innate desire to help others made becoming a healer feel like a natural next step.
Why is it called Ivy Leigh Wellness?
The name Ivy Leigh holds special meaning. Ivy is my daughter’s middle name, and Leigh is my son's middle name. The combination of these names felt perfect—like peanut butter and jelly—and encapsulates the personal nature of the services I offer at Ivy Leigh Wellness.
