My name is Amandalyn Friedland.  I have been interested in touch therapy my entire life.  Learning as a young child how touch can make a person feel better, I have only grown to deeply understand the depth of this notion. Going to massage school was not a thing that I had always planned on doing. I just found myself there. I attended East West College of the Healing Arts. The program I studied was very fulfilling and I have learned so much from the instructors. I started school in January of 2009. I graduated in June 2010 and passed both of my licensing exams that same month. I was eager to start my practice. That September however, a surprise entered into my world when I found out I was pregnant with my beautiful daughter Amira. After taking a necessary maternity leave, I re-entered the world with an immense amount of energy and dedication to my practice. I regained my experience by working part time at a Spa, an office of a chiropractor and also at a Sports Clinic, which had a focus on sports injuries and people recovering from Motor Vehicle Accidents. I learned techniques for structural integration and body realignment, which play a tremendously important part of the treatments I still do today.  These fast-paced and chronic injury focused environments have allowed me to massage many people with many different needs. I started my ‘new and improved’ practice called Earth Hands Massage in January of 2012.  I am delighted to be a part of the wellness team at Springwater Wellness Center. It has been a dream of mine to share space with other practitioners such as; naturopathic practitioners, acupuncturists, chiropractic doctors, physical therapists and other massage therapists. January 1st, 2022 marks my ten year anniversary of starting my practice at Springwater! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there and hope to have the opportunity to meet many more wonderful people.
