Thank you for taking the time to look over my site. Here is a little background of who I am and how I became a massage therapist.
From 1997 to 1987 I served in the Coast Guard. After separation I held several jobs, the last being 13 years as a domestic engineer, raising my two daughters.
I was one of those guys who thought massage was an indulgence, something to waste money on. That is, until 2005 the inevitable happened. I injured my shoulder while using crutches. Spending the next 2 months on prescription pain meds and numerous visits to the Dr. only to have it worsen. It came to a point where I had to immobilize the arm by strapping it to my body.
My wife in one of her many massage sessions shared my condition with her therapist. She suggested that I come in and see if there was anything she could do. With nothing to lose I did what I swore I would never do, I went to see a massage therapist.
What a God send! After my second session with her my range of motion increased with less pain. In all it took 6 weeks with 2 visits a week to fully recover. It turns out that it was an impinged nerve. Due to my commitment to my children it took a few more years before starting my career in massage.
I went to school at Delta College, Covington, LA graduating in June 2015. Upon graduation I worked for Massage Envy, Slidell, LA for 6 months. Receiving transfer orders my family moved to O'Fallon, IL. In O'Fallon I began to work with Michelle's Massage Therapy in Jan 2017 as an independent contractor. May 2018 my wife received her final orders of retirement. Moving here to Wichita Falls, TX.
