Teyonni graduated from Body Wisdom Massage Therapy School in February of 2024. She
graduated on the dean’s list, in the honor’s system, and with a review average of 98% from her
clinicals. She’s been referred to as intuitive but Teyonni gives credit to effective communication,
“If they are here for a therapeutic massage, I ask where the client wants to focus and ask if
there are any areas they want to avoid. I check in about pressure throughout the massage and
communicate if I think I’ve found something. If they are here for a relaxation massage, I try to
follow their lead on chatting or no chatting and keep my touch soothing and in flow. If you don’t
want to fall asleep, you should tell me first.” Teyonni has a relaxed personality but she still
demands perfection from herself and the limited training she has in deep tissue does not meet
her high standards, so she will not be offering deep tissue at this time. She will, however, be our
first and only therapist to be offering lymphatic drainage massage. For general massage,
though, she recommends her 90 minute Swedish massage as she is able to take her time in
your problem areas and not have to rush. She hopes to build a clientele of returning customers
so as to help them in their recovery journey, “After all, therapy doesn’t happen in a day.”
