By listening to my clients, my passion and purpose guided me to create the Sunshine Massage Studio in Vail CO, my own unique niche of innovative healing in the heart of the ski village.
I first became magnetically drawn to the healing arts after witnessing my first AcroSage™ session in Puna, on the Big Island of Hawaii. I thought I had "seen it all", but it was clear after watching this 15 minute inverted massage technique, and experiencing it as a client in my own body, there was much to explore and learn about the art of surrender and effective healing. Days passed after the workshop, I started to crave the degree of mind/body health I felt during the AcroSage workshop. It was then I decided to study with the originator, Benjamin Marantz, and utilize my writing, video and photography skills to help co-publish the first manual for the AcroSage™ technique.
Working with a massage inventor, practicing yoga daily, set the stage to let my creativity, intuition and in-tune body design, run free, and so, I too, became an "inventor" of massage. Some people channel words. I have come to understand myself as a channel for deeper massage wisdom to flow through.
After 4 years of intuitive massage and invention, I craved a conventional education and was eager to be immersed with other passionate student. I studied Thai massage, Lomi Lomi, and Deep tissue at Kalani Honua, oceanside massage school on the Big Island of Hawaii. I have my massage license in Hawaii because I lead massage and yoga retreats, and I am licensed in Colorado because I am from Vail, run my Sunshine Massage Studio in Lionshead, and teach ski instruction.
I am as passionate about teaching massage as I am giving life-changing massage! I teach easy and fun massage instruction to couples and I teach therapeutic AcroYoga & Thai massage classes weekly for the Vail community. I let my passion for helping others to feel whole and happy again in their bodies guide my life.

I have had several massages with Sunshine. Being an very active sports person, she works out the tight spots and get in their deep as that is how I like it. Sunshine is professional and her technique is different than your usual massage therapist. I highly recommend Sunshine.

I loved the "flying"! Samantha put her feet on my hips and pushed me up like a child, I closed my eyes and she stretched my arms, shoulders, sides and I really felt like I was flying. Besides being fun, this opened up my hips and loosened my whole body. The rest of the massage was really beneficial. I asked for deep massage, and it was, but I don't think I have ever been more relaxed at the end of a massage. She has many special techniques that you won't find anywhere else. I bought a 90 minute five pack! So I will be back.
