Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, I’ve always had an athletic inclination, which drew me to vigorous sports such as BMX, snowboarding, gymnastics, cycling (both mountain biking and road racing), and more. I first began getting regular deep tissue massage at age 15, after my grueling bike races. I racked up several painful injuries in my late teens and early twenties. After experiencing relief through massage, I developed a particular interest in sports and injury-related bodywork. I went to massage school while living in Chicago at The Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy and have since practiced in Illinois, Florida, and now Arizona. My work is influenced by my background in athletics and nearly twenty years of teaching yoga. I have a license in massage therapy LMT and AIMLA certificate in Deep Tissue Laser therapy.
