I started my career as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2005. After doing “traditional hands on” therapeutic massage for over 10 years, I learned barefoot massage in 2016. I put my foot down 1 year later and no longer do traditional hands on massage.
Being a massage therapist, runner and weight lifter myself, puts me in a unique position not only to help you out of pain, but to help prevent you from future injuries by configuring a maintenance plan that coincides with your race, show or competition. Having done half marathons, a bajillion 5k’s, and being a gym junkie, I know what you’re experiencing. I help you reverse engineer a schedule to ensure we time your massages at just the right point. This will help you maintain fitness levels and increase range of motion helping catapult you to the next level.
I love the fact that I am part of peoples journey! I have had countless clients qualify & run the Boston Marathon, compete and place in not only bodybuilding competitions but in Powerlifting and Cross-fit competitions as well. I pride myself on the fact that if I am not the Massage Therapist for you, I will tell you and help you find someone who suits you. I want everyone to have a great massage therapy experience. That being said, Ashiatsu isn't for everyone. We serve a specific market of very active individuals who need a deeply therapeutic touch. It’s not for the faint of heart but is perfect for those who push their bodies to their limits, and need to continue moving forward.
I am continuously perfecting my craft. Continuing education is not mandatory in Ohio for LMT’s but I commit to as many relevant classes as I can every year, to keep my practice fresh and innovative.
“Learn from everyone, follow no one”.
Our studio is located in West Toledo, where it meets Ottawa Hills and Sylvania in the Ottawa Hills Shopping Center. We’re on the 2nd floor of a pretty eclectic building.

Helping athletes of ALL levels for preventative work and sports related injuries. I myself am an avid runner, gym and health enthusiast, so I understand many of the hurdles that come with training & playing.
Have studied Myofascial release under John F. Barnes since 2007. John is the leading author & guru on the Myofascial Release technique. Myofascial Release I, Cervical Thoracic, Myofascial Rebounding, Fascial-Pelvis, Myofascial Release II, Myofascial Healing, Myofascial Unwinding. Starting off gently and working to deeper pressure with longer, more slow strokes and still points. Our bodies have a thin layer of fascia that covers everything from head to toe. It can hold up to 2000 lbs per square inch of pressure! This technique can be applied anywhere on the body. Up until 2 years ago, I practiced this technique solely by hand. I now do the barefooted version we like to call "fasci-ashi" meaning myofascial release done with my foot.
Massage for people with Temporal-mandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD). This technique is focused on the head, neck and jaw. I am certified in and work on both the outside & inside the mouth to get every angle of this pesky problem to get maximum results. Perfect for those who clench/grind their teeth, migraines, constant stiff neck. This is the only hands on technique I do, and we work from the shoulder blades up, in your mouth, to the top of your head. (Yes, I wear gloves:))
"Ashi' means foot, "atsu" means pressure. Being certified in Ashiatsu aka Barefoot Massage, allows me use gravity as my driving force. In this therapy I use my feet while holding onto bars overhead. This modality allows me to give a deeper than normal massage by shifting my body weight over different areas of the body. These are longer, slower movements as we look at the body as a whole. You'll notice we also use an "ashi strap" that hangs off the bars, this is for me to be able to lean out to not only get completely different angles but to lean on as well. I still use my training in myofascial release technique but in this modality, I use my feet instead of hands. I was the 1st in Northwest Ohio to do this modality and am leading the charge in Barefoot Massage in Northwest Ohio. I am double certified in each of the 4 Ashiatsu principle areas. I love educating the community on the effects and benefits of receiving Ashiatsu and all types of barefoot work. It's my passion!
Sarga employs the use of a fabric strap (similar to the silks that aerialists use), that fastens to the bottom of my massage table. The strap is wrapped around my shoulders typically, so when I pull on the straps, I am deepening the pressure onto my clients.
Fijian Barefoot Massage is a floor based model of barefoot massage where the client lays on a padded area on the floor, fully clothed. I still do barefoot massage, although the movements and pressures are different that regular barefoot work. Unfortunately, I am not offering this service at this time, due to lack of space in our studio.
