My journey in health care began 25 years ago. I started with a nursing degree and progressed to working in the field of emergency medical services as an EMT-basic and then paramedic/ firefighter. Searching for balance I decided to pursue massage therapy. Growing up in a home with a Swedish grandmother, I was fortunate to receive frequent massage and reflexology treatments to help with ailments such as chronic ear infections and growing pains. Massage quickly became a significant part of my life. Now as a massage therapist for 20 years my focus has been on synchronizing Eastern and Western medicine to incorporate a comprehensive treatment plan for the mind and body. I continued my path in traditional Western medicine with a degree from the University Of Washington School of Medicine MEDEX PA program. I strive to find balance working both in urgent care and massage therapy. I focus on treating with evidence-based medicine but I also believe in the benefits of traditional therapies that have sustained centuries of civilizations.

Catherine is an amazing massage therapist. She has 20 years of experience not only in Massage Therapy, but in the medical profession which gives her an advantage above others because she has been well educated in the treatment of her patients/clients. She was very professional, sweet very easy to talk to, she was very thorough with my medical history as I have had several injuries and surgeries. It was my first massage yesterday and honestly I just wanted a deep tissue massage but her technique of finding all of the finding the areas of my body that were causing me pain tight and scar tissue was amazing. She found every single spot that has been hurting and many other areas that I had no idea that were causing me problems. My lower back has been hurting for quite some time, just by bending over slightly, but after she was done with my massage, I literally had no more pain in my back. I am definitely committing myself to ongoing treatment with Katherine because I know that it will take time, but I trust her to do the job and aid in my health care with my doctors. Thank you so much Catherine you are awesome, YOU ROCK!!
