Since 2009 he has been a massage therapist with advanced certifications in neuromuscular, sports, oncology, gerontology and myofascial release massage to name a few. He volunteered as a mentor/teacher in the Boston Public Schools from 2004-2016 and in the Stoughton Public Schools from 2017-2018. Alan is President and Founder of the Flo Creed-Jacobson Initiative, whose main mission is to teach mindfulness to children in order to build Confidence, Resilience, Optimism and Self-Awareness. Alan’s objective is to use the Initiative as a vehicle to make a positive difference in the lives of children while honoring his wife Flo’s memory.
He was a hospice, literacy coach and mentor with Boys To Men for several years, and is a Master Mason with Garden City Lodge and Co-Lead Elder with the Mankind Project (mkpusa.org).
