Christy Schmidt, M.A., L.M.T. was born in Illinois and lived there until her father enlisted in the Air Force. Military life involved moving around, so growing up she was introduced to a wide variety of cultures, ethnicities, ways of life, traditions, and belief systems. All through life, she always has had an inner drive to help others which lead to seeking a Medical Assistant Degree from Robert Morris University in 1996. After working in many medical settings and not finding a way to truly help peoples in their wellbeing, she opted for a change in career. So in 2005 she enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at Midwest Technical Institute in Lincoln, Illinois.

Upon graduating in the winter of 2006, Christy opened and operated Chirugy Massage in Chatham, Illinois. After much soul searching and reflection, Christy made the decision to Close Chirugy Massage in July 2012 to return to her roots and focus her energy on doing healing massage, energy work, and her family.

In August 2012 White Flower Bodywork was born. Christy’s intention for White Flower Bodywork is for it to be a place where people can come and have a one on one healing session, specifically designed for their individual needs on that day. She continues to study and develop her holistic healing craft and has expanded into vibrational healing, Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies like cupping and Guasha, and is a Nationally Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. Christy is enjoying the relaxed pace of her private studio and the quality time she spends with each of her clients offering each personalized care. She currently resides in Springfield Illinois with her Husband Robert, kids Ian, Savannah and Keyra, and their furry children Lelu, Jack, Jezebel, Jinx, Bonita and a parakeet Blu his wife Pearl and many chickens too.

I really wanted a foot massage not a foot bath. It lasted about 40 minutes instead of an hour. The ambiance was nice, but not worth the money.
