Hello everyone, my name is Amy Cornell. I am the owner/operator of Balanced Life Massage Therapy LLC. I am a proud Springfield native; I love the Ozarks. I graduated from Hillcrest High School and attended Professional Massage Training Center graduating at the top of class. I have been a licensed and practicing massage therapist for 15+ years. I can honestly say that it was the best decision that I have ever made. I have had time to perfect my technique through the years and have a passion for massage therapy and what it can do to help all people not only live pain free but also to live a better quality of life. It is my gift that I want to share with everyone that I meet.

Trigger Point is awesome because you can combine it will other techniques. Every muscle has a trigger point and many time more than just one. Some are active and some are not. I use Trigger Point to teach my clients that just because something hurts in a certain area doesn't mean that is the muscle causing the pain.
100 Hours of PNMT technique Head Neck Spine Thoracic Upper Extremity Lower Extremity Form and Function All 5 classes allow you to learn how all muscles are connected. How the mechanics of the muscles work, as well, as how trigger points also work in relation to pain and referred pain patterns. Most of my bodywork ties into this amazing technique.
This technique teaches you to assess movement and how the muscles respond to different positions. For the person that receives massage on a regular basis their bodies are used to being treated a certain way, but if you take that muscle and put it in a different position that give the muscle a chance to experience something new that it didn't expect. Kind of like throwing a curve ball to someone that has never had one thrown at it. It confuses the muscle and make it think a different way.
