Hi there! My name is Holly McWilliams, I have a truly compassionate nature, and have loved massage since I was a child. My best friends, Aunt Patte, gave me my first massage book in 1997 along with a few bolsters and creams and I would practice technique on my friends and family. Hi there! My name is Holly McWilliams, I have a truly compassionate nature, and have loved massage since I was a child. My best friends, Aunt Patte, gave me my first massage book in 1997 along with a few bolsters and creams and I would practice technique on my friends and family. In 2004 I graduated from Western Career College in Sacramento, CA. with a continuous 4.0 GPA and over 725 hours. There I studied Anatomy, Kinesiology, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Therapy, Trigger Point, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, and Maternity massage modalities. Over the past 14 years, I have progressed with continuing education including deep compression, Lomi Lomi, hot stone, and my passion and specialty is Sports Massage. Being active in a variety of sports from snowboarding, roller derby, biking, kayaking, and running has gravitated my interest in Sports Massage. Playing roller derby with Sacramento's Sacred City Derby Girls for 3 years encouraged me to seek out ways to help my fellow skaters, leading them in stretches, exercises, skate drills, and aiding with massage to increase range of motion, flexibility, and reducing pain. Since 2005, I have had a wonderful mobile massage practice in Northern California, but have always dreamed of owning my own spa. Moving back to Tahoe has been a complete blessing. I have recently opened my own massage studio, Holly's Bodyworks, near Tahoe Keys Blvd. and Highway 50. I love Lake Tahoe! How could you not? Wonderful people, beautiful scenery, great food, and active lifestyles... it is simply, Heaven on Earth.
I take great pride and joy when I'm able to help people. I feel that massage is more than a luxury, it's self maintenance. Our everyday lives can be very demanding on our bodies. It necessary to take a break and rejuvenate from all the daily tolls we take on ourselves. From stress relief, pain relief, added range of motion, and other incredible health benefits massage therapy can do for you, what are you waiting for?
