Welcome! Thank you for your interest in massage therapy.  Research is increasingly showing the countless health benefits of this soothing, and non-invasive treatment. In my fifteen years of practice, I have successfully treated many clients with chronic pain.  I  also take referrals from doctors to treat acute injuries, and have seen favorable results.

I attended The Massage Academy of the Poconos in 2005 and graduated with honors from Allied Medical and Technical Institute in the Massage Therapy program the same year. Currently, I am a lifelong student of the Science of Massage Institute, a research and teaching institute led by Dr Ross Turchaninov, dedicated to elevating the massage profession and making it a valued part of integrated medicine.

In addition to being licensed, I am also Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and also certified in Pediatric Massage. I have experience working with special need populations including but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, sensory integration disorders, etc.

I use evidence based practices to guide my work but I also intuitively integrate various techniques in my massage sessions to bring about the most beneficial and therapeutic results. If there is a challenging case presented, I have the benefit of consulting with Dr Ross or any of my other medical massage colleagues for assistance if I am unable to find the answers I am looking for in the large SOMI database.

In other words, each session is catered to the individual needs of the client and will vary from person to person and also from session to session.  Some of the techniques would include but are not limited to: myofascial release, deep tissue, medical massage, energy therapy, NMT, accupressure, and aromatherapy.  I offer clinical massage therapy appointments focusing on pain, functional outcomes, and stress management.

I would tell them if you want to feel rejuvenated, there is nothing like it. Kristen cares, she doesn’t have a job she has a profession.

I recommend Kristen to everyone that is looking for a massage therapist. She knows every part of your body, the parts that affect other parts and she knows exactly what to work on. She is considerate, informative, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Love her!

Kristin is skilled in listening to my concerns, assessing what’s going on and applying her wealth of knowledge related to therapeutic massage in a way that is individualized - tailored specifically to me and my condition on a given day. There have been times when she has focused on particular areas of concern (e.g. neck & shoulder pain, lower back tightness) and others when she helped alleviate the stress I had been carrying in my body related to . . . The death of my father, pressures of work, parenting teens . . . You know - life. Would 100% recommend Greenridge Om & Wellness for your therapeutic massage needs, and if you’re like me and sometimes just want to feel better in your body.
