As an specialist in Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture I’m excited to be a part of your healing as you begin an exciting new way to move from pain and discomfort into a fuller, richer way of life! My holistic mindset and integrity of purpose comes from the culture of my native Sweden. Full lives and natural health practices flourish in my homeland as does an innate enthusiasm for discovering and applying the amazing healing powers within us.
"I’ve experienced the diminishing loss of comfort that came with sitting for hours behind my computer as I began to tolerate little aches and pains, those quiet messages telling my body I needed to change what I was doing and avoid putting myself back into situations that generated tension and pain in the first place. Life is too fleeting for us to allow outside influences to affect our health… your health… at any level. Even mild discomfort can take the shine off of life."
Most of us are familiar with the use of acupuncture to control pain from injury and illnesses like arthritis and back pain. Few realize that acupuncture is successfully used to treat depression, anxiety, stress, hormonal and reproductive issues; all measures and all manners of discomfort.
"By stimulating strategic points along neural pathways called meridians, I help my patients move from energy imbalance towards a state of basic harmony we call homeostasis, a perfect balance of your good health and vitality."
Looking forward to meet you!

At UCSD's RIMAC Athletic Arena athletes receive sports acupuncture treatments in addition to care from athletic trainers and physical therapists. Pacific College interns use acupuncture to help rehabilitate post-operative injuries, sports injuries and athletic performance by increasing range of motion, muscle strength and tissue healing potential. The most common injuries I treat athletes for are muscle contusions and tendinitis, as well as over-use injuries involving the lower back, shoulder, knee and ankle, all examples of common sports injury areas. These injuries typically require two sports acupuncture treatments a week, with a varied recovery time depending on the injury .
Throughout the last 20 years, Pacific College has strived to not only advance in the field of Oriental medicine, but also create and maintain community involvement. Perhaps the most rewarding of these activities has been the creation of Pacific's off-site clinics. The UCSD Integrative Health Free Clinic Project not only provided me the opportunity to receive hands on experience in a wide variety of multi-disciplinary environments, but have also enabled patients access to our medicine, many for the first time.
