I attended Southeastern Institute of Massage and Bodywork in Charlotte, NC. in 2010. My certifications include Swedish Massage- This technique is to relax the entire body. It targets the superficial muscles and increasing blood and lymphatic fluid circulation. Deep Tissue-this technique targets connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains. Hot Stones-It is used to relax and ease tense muscles gliding the heated stones throughout the body. Neuromuscular Massage- This is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain Stimulating areas of skeletal muscles which are myofascial trigger points. Reflexology- This is a hands and feet massage that focuses on energy channels in the body to organs and body parts. Applying pressure to reflex areas to remove energy blockages which promotes health in the related body area is the goal of the reflexologist.
I have many fortunes in my life besides my amazing career as a massage therapist. My health is something that I have always treasured especially after entering my field of work. As an individual I can be timid and shy so my ambition, courage, energy and spirit is hard to see. However, it can be felt through my massage. My Daughter at age 20 already is one of the most well rounded and thoughtful persons that I know. I do take outstanding pride in her overall as a human being, She is in attendance at Pfeiffer University as a sophmore and Vice president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorriority. She is the dearest to my heart. My Dauschand, Scooter is nothing less than precious. He definitely has a very distiguished and dramatic personality which I love but its impossible not to have him at a close second. Some things I enjoy are tennis, swimming, watching sports with friends, cooking, watching movies, and learning about political american history.
